Architect - Banking

We are currently recruiting for contract Architect to join our global banking Client. The Architect will deputise for the Enterprise Architect, ensuring all projects follow architectural governance standards and developing solution architectures for assigned projects.

Key skills:

• At least 10 years’ experience developing architectures with both business and technical stakeholders
• Architecture governance and control – experience in providing architectural structure to new projects
• Experience both working within and providing Quality Assurance for large E2E projects in an architecture role
• Message-based and other integration architectures
• Experience of the role of REST APIs in integration architectures
• Logical and Physical data modelling
• Data modelling skills (relational and XSD/XPath/XSLT)
• In-depth understanding of both real-time and batch-based system integration architectures
• Thorough experience in data architecture, modelling, master data management, database design, messaging, distribution and warehousing (relational and NoSQL)
• Experience delivering formal models using UML and/or BPMN

Desirable skills:

• Banking / Finance experience
• Architectural patterns and standards such as TOGAF
• Atlassian toolset

Responsibilities:

• Develop target architectures and high level functional specifications for large projects across the bank
• Provide architectural leadership and consultancy across bank
• Guide teams on detailed designs for systems and integration implementations
• Facilitate the bank’s solution and technical design authorities
