We are currently recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to join our banking Client. As an Application Support Analyst, you will provide technical support for a wide range of in-house and vendor software. You will be a part of an application support team, and your role will require a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to effectively meet the needs of the Bank in today's technology-driven world.
As an Application Support Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical applications and providing excellent technical support. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of application support experience.
- Financial / banking experience.
- Experience working in a medium to large-sized company, supporting at least 1000 users.
- Strong technical skills in Windows, SQL.
- Exposure to virtual environment management.
- SQL statement writing.
- Change management experience in a complex environment.
- Ability to work across multiple branches to support key applications.
Desirable skills:
- SWIFT knowledge
- MQ support/Administration
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st / 2nd line support to ensure the integrity and availability of supported applications for internal and external customers, acting as the primary point of contact for BAU/Triage.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a number of existing or new applications as required.
- Follow documented procedures to resolve service desk tickets and ensure timely resolution.
- Plan, prepare and deliver project requirements to support business initiatives.
- Provide audit and compliance information as requested.
- Ensure service desk requests are managed effectively to meet SLAs.
- Prepare system support documentation as required.
- Manage vendor relationships as necessary.
- Coordinate upgrades/patching to ensure supported software is up-to-date.
- Communicate with Business Ops to resolve issues and provide feedback.
