Application Support Analyst | Front Office | Banking

We are currently recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to join our banking Client. As an Application Support Analyst, you will provide technical support for a wide range of in-house and vendor software. You will be a part of an application support team, and your role will require a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to effectively meet the needs of the Bank in today's technology-driven world.

As an Application Support Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical applications and providing excellent technical support. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of application support experience.
  • Financial / banking experience.
  • Experience working in a medium to large-sized company, supporting at least 1000 users.
  • Strong technical skills in Windows, SQL.
  • Exposure to virtual environment management.
  • SQL statement writing.
  • Change management experience in a complex environment.
  • Ability to work across multiple branches to support key applications.

Desirable skills:

  • SWIFT knowledge
  • MQ support/Administration
  • Splunk

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st / 2nd line support to ensure the integrity and availability of supported applications for internal and external customers, acting as the primary point of contact for BAU/Triage.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a number of existing or new applications as required.
  • Follow documented procedures to resolve service desk tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver project requirements to support business initiatives.
  • Provide audit and compliance information as requested.
  • Ensure service desk requests are managed effectively to meet SLAs.
  • Prepare system support documentation as required.
  • Manage vendor relationships as necessary.
  • Coordinate upgrades/patching to ensure supported software is up-to-date.
  • Communicate with Business Ops to resolve issues and provide feedback.
